The Breath of the Almighty

"But there is a spirit in man, and the breath of the Almighty gives him understanding."

The Apostle Paul tells us that we have been given the revelation of a mystery that had been hidden for generations. This is the mystery of Christ—how the Son emptied himself and was crucified at the hands of his own creation so we could be saved. Breath is an independent Christian magazine aimed to inform and challenge you in this wonderful walk of faith. Crafted with the utmost care as a printed piece, you'll want to take time to immerse yourself in its pages to better appreciate our remarkable redemption.

Revelations

A vibrant faith cannot subsist on the usual topical sermons that we hear most Sundays. In this section we dive into the solids of the scriptures, what they mean to the church and to the world at large.

Culture

Christians are the embodiment of God's righteousness in their generation. Our culture articles look at the people, the places, and the issues of our modern-day culture in light of the revelation of scripture. It's here that you'll usually find interviews of  Christians who have stepped away from the toys of the flesh to fulfill the higher calling of the Word and the Spirit.

Conversations

In one of his letters to the Corinthians, the Apostle Paul lent  advice on different topics even though he hadn't received a direct command from the Lord. Our conversations that fall into this category.

Reflections

A spiritual discipline of Christians throughout the millennia has been personal devotions and reflections of scripture. Here we delve into the minor prophets, the psalms, and even the Apocalypse to reflect on the nuances of that ultimate aim of "Christ in us, the hope of glory."

Creator

Breath is the brainchild of Peter Smythe, a practicing lawyer who is an alumnus of Oral Roberts University and Rhema Bible College. Dissatisfied with the current crop of Christian magazines and fulfilling a particular calling, Smythe and his team have set out to create a truly original periodical. Peter also maintains his own site where he writes and speaks on different subjects.
